Detailed Product Information:
With just one swipe of the Drugwipe® device you can detect the silent, unseen presence of drugs in your workplace. The Drugwipe® Drug Detection System is a rapid, efficient and reliable test for the detection of drugs in saliva, sweat or surfaces. This enables the detection of current and very recent drug use “that is the drugs that are in the system now”.
Sampling is achieved by a single swipe of the tongue, only 10µl of saliva is required. Alternatively you can detect and identify “invisible” drug residues on surfaces by a swipe of the area in question.
After sampling, the device is re-assembled and the integrated water ampoule is broken, in the vertical position and then laid horizontal. A visual reading is read within ten minutes. No expensive instrumentation is required, providing flexibility to perform drug testing at any location, on or off site.
A control line validates the procedure has occurred correctly. The presence of any test line is indicative of a positive result. A secondary confirmatory sample (saliva or urine) is collected as per the guidelines of the Australian Standard – Procedures for Specimen Collection and the Detection and Quantitation of Drugs in Oral Fluid (AS4760-2006).
