Learn - a thing or two about safety

Mentoring

Our mentor program is about helping make NSW a safer place to work. We do this by connecting small businesses with businesses that have the resources and are experienced in workplace health and safety.

The program is free and provides small businesses with advice, assistance and practical solutions to work health and safety, workers compensation and injury management practices from an experienced business in the same industry.

The program also:

  • improves the legislative compliance of small business mentees
  • provides mentees with access to technical and administrative support from large businesses and WorkCover
  • enhances the business profile of mentors and mentees within their respective industries and across the broader community.

Generally, large businesses mentor small businesses over an eight-month period, with one-on-one discussions, information sessions, workshops and site visits.
